INFORMATION TEXT WITHIN THE SCOPE OF THE PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION LAW
The information text you are about to read has been prepared within the scope of the responsibilities arising from Article 10 of the Law on Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 (KVKK). We publish this information text and make the necessary explanations to those concerned. Our company reserves the right to make updates to this clarification text within the framework of the law. Our company, Sedef Vatka ("sedefvatka.com"), as the data controller, attaches importance to the privacy and security of your personal data and strives to fulfill its responsibilities under the KVKK. For this reason, our company, in its capacity as data controller, explains the purposes for which your personal data will be processed, the methods and legal reasons for collecting data, and what your rights are under Article 11 of the KVKK. We are publishing this text addressed to all our customers, company employees, former employees whose employment contracts have ended, visitors to our workplace, suppliers, individuals visiting our website, users connecting to the guest network at our company, customers in our company's database, and third parties at marketing areas such as fairs, and other similar events. This text also applies to employee candidates applying for a job through career portals, referred or physically filling out an application form, and all business partners and their employees engaged in our commercial activities.
1. For what purposes and legal reasons do we process your personal data?
Firstly, let us state that your personal data may be processed by the COMPANY in accordance with the provisions of the Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 with your explicit consent. We would also like to remind you that there is no need to obtain consent in cases falling under the provisions of Article 5/2 of the Personal Data Protection Law. The personal data collected by us generally includes identity, communication, employment, financial, audiovisual records, customer transaction information, bank information, address, and the data you provide in your job application form. Personal data collected from you is processed for the following purposes:
a) To fulfill requests from competent public institutions and organizations, especially when requested by courts and authorized public officials;
b) To comply with our legal obligations and to exercise our rights arising from current legislation (e.g., personal file records that must be kept under employment contracts, health records, obligations arising from trade and tax laws);
c) To fulfill contractual obligations (e.g., determining who receives the product, managing invoicing processes, managing commercial activities and risk processes);
d) To establish contact with parties during procurement processes;
e) To recruit personnel, manage recruitment processes, evaluate applications, and maintain human resources records for future needs;
f) To ensure the security of our workplace and employees by recording visitor information;
g) To manage marketing processes and promote our services, and to improve business activities during fairs and other similar events.
2. We would like to explain to whom your personal data may be transferred and for what purposes.
Your personal data is safe with our company and will not be shared with third parties without your explicit consent. However, we may need to share your data with third parties and institutions under legal obligations. In these cases, we take necessary technical, administrative, and legal measures to prevent rights violations. Your data may also be shared with third parties such as our business partners, service providers, suppliers, and public institutions within the scope of our legal obligations under the KVKK.
3. We would like to inform you about the methods and legal reasons for collecting your personal data.
Your personal data may be collected verbally, in writing, or electronically through company departments, websites, cameras, and other similar means. For example:
a. Through security camera recordings at our workplace;
b. Through customer feedback forms;
c. Via phone calls, faxes, or emails sent to company employees;
d. Through job applications submitted through career portals, emails, or physical forms.
4. Explanation of the rights of data owners.
You may request information about whether your personal data is processed, the purpose of processing, and whether your data is used for its intended purpose. You can also request information about third parties to whom your data is transferred and demand corrections if you believe your data has been incorrectly or incompletely processed.
5. We would like to remind you that personal data required to be kept due to legal obligations cannot be deleted, destroyed, or anonymized.
You can apply to our company regarding the rights listed above, in writing or through other methods determined by the Personal Data Protection Board. Our company will respond to your application within 30 days at no cost. We request that you include your email or mailing address for written responses.
